I'm not sure how much catch-up I should be playing, I have piles and piles of art that's either unscanned or just unfinished. I doubt it's all worth returning to, but there's some of it that I still like. For the sake of updating I might as well post it. This is something I doodled back during the spring in scientific illustration.

This show is CRAZY. But awful TV makes fun art, and it made finals just a little bit easier to stomach. Still catching up on posting old work... lots to do.

I made thank-you cards for all the well-wishers who came to my graduation. The background patterns are all from Jo-Ann's great cardstock paper packs.

Decided to move the blog back to here to clean up my main website. I'm so behind on updates, and there's a lot of work I need to polish and reformat, but that's for another day. For now, here's the little image I whipped up for the new site design. I'm not normally fond of colored pencil, but I like the texture it adds once you foodle with the values in Photoshop.

I really wanted to merge my sketchblog and portfolio, and the only site that offered that flexibility was Wordpress. Even though php is a little over my head, which makes customization difficult. NONETHELESS.

First assignment.

First day of class

This is my prof for my children's illustration class. She's pretty fabulous. I forgot to decorate her muumuu with floral print.

I'm gradually transitioning over to my new Wordpress blog. Maybe I'll finish it tonight if I'm lucky. Here's this for now.

So for some reason I had to watch Monsters, Inc. twice, once without and once with the audio commentary, as well as all the bonus material on both discs before I could finish this sketch. Shucks.

I found some great black and white fashion illustrations by John Liello in a book of Art Deco advertisements, but he's so woefully underrepresented that I can't find a single image of his online. This world needs more classy bra ads.
